Inspired by the visionaries behind Akshaya Patra—the world’s largest school meal program—World Food Movement is committed to ensuring that no college student in the U.S. goes hungry.
With Akshaya Patra serving 2.25 million meals daily and over 4 billion meals to children in India, its impact was recognized by the United Nations in 2024. Now, World Food Movement is bringing this mission to underserved college students across the U.S., providing nutritious meals to support their education and well-being.

I'm proud to announce our partnership with the Sattvic Meals Foundation (World Food Movement), launched in January 2025, with an ambitious goal to serve 50,000 meals by the end of this academic year and 1 million meals by 2030. Survey respondents (66K+ students) in 2023 indicated that:
- 52% worried that their food would run out before they got money to buy more
- 50% concerned that they could not afford to eat balanced meals
- 34% cut the size of portions or skipped meals because there was not enough money
