As the Chairman of Akshaya Patra Foundation, he has played a pivotal role in transforming India’s mid-day meal program into the world’s largest school feeding initiative, serving over 2.25 million meals daily. A graduate of IIT Bombay, his innovative approach to social service has earned him national and international recognition, including the Padma Shri, one of India’s highest civilian awards. Under his leadership, World Food Movement is now expanding this mission to college students in the U.S., ensuring that nutritious meals reach those in need.
